The ACE Policy Team consists of four programs: the Student Policy Fellowship, Research Associate Leadership Program, Current Events Internship, and Editorial Fellowship. Each program is integral in ensuring ACE produces high-quality policy content for our readers.

Student Policy Fellowship

As ACE’s flagship program, the Student Policy Fellowship gives highly-motivated undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to pitch and publish policy briefs on topics they believe potential voters should know about. Student Policy Fellows work on topic-area teams, collaborating with peers who share a similar policy interest.

Research Associate Leadership Program

ACE’s Research Associate Leadership Program gives graduate students and exceptional undergraduate students the opportunity to guide a team of Student Fellows through the policy research process, from pitch to publication. Research Associates provide mentorship and individualized feedback to their Fellows, gaining valuable experience in management.

Current Events Internship

ACE’s Current Events Interns combine experience in journalism and policy research to write short “In the News” articles that cover pressing events while guiding readers to ACE’s long-form briefs. Current Events Interns pitch and publish articles on a biweekly basis, equipping students with the skills to thrive in fast-paced policy environments.

Editorial Fellowship

ACE’s Editorial Fellowship prepares aspiring copy editors with hands-on experience revising policy briefs for publication on the ACE website. Editorial Fellows pull from ACE’s style guide and utilize policy research skills to ensure each brief published on our site is factual, nonpartisan, and accessible to the everyday reader.
