Yuna is a third-year honors student at the University of Michigan, double majoring in Organizational Studies and Sociology of Law, Justice, and Social Change. Alongside her internship at ACE, she works as a part-time legal research assistant for the Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse, expanding public access to civil rights litigation matters. She holds a deep passion for civil rights and social justice advocacy. Her interest began with the HANA Center, a Korean advocacy organization in the Chicago area, where she worked with other students to pass the TEAACH Act, which made Illinois the first state to mandate Asian American history in public schools. This past summer, she interned for Asian Americans Advancing Justice, where she focused on policy research for the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.” Aside from her professional and academic interests, Yuna loves to explore her artistic side. She has been a graphic designer for over five years and photographs headshots for students in her campus community.
