Ronan Kiter is a rising junior at Denison University double majoring in Economics and Politics & Public Affairs, with a strong interest in how government institutions design, finance, and implement policies to address public needs, particularly in areas related to equity, infrastructure, and accessibility. His academic interests focus on public finance, economic policy, and the use of research and data to support effective, evidence-based policy outcomes.
Ronan began his professional career in his hometown of Cold Spring, New York, where he conducted research on accessibility and infrastructure, organized a petition campaign, and collaborated with municipal and state stakeholders to advance community-focused pedestrian safety initiatives. This experience, together with his academic work, has reinforced his interest in using research and policy analysis to create meaningful, tangible outcomes in communities.
Outside of academics and policy work, Ronan is a dedicated student-athlete, serving as a goalkeeper on the Denison Men’s Soccer team. He hopes to pursue a career in public service focused on economic and fiscal policy, using research to guide decisions that improve communities and promote equity.
