Amy Wong, University of California, Los Angeles

Amy L. Wong is 19 years old and graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and History with a minor in Education Studies. Amy is also an incoming graduate student at Northwestern pursuing a Master of Science in Journalism with a Specialization in Politics, Policy, and Foreign Affairs. She was a Research Assistant at the Stanford Deliberative Democracy Lab and a Research Assistant at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. As a News Staff Writer for the Daily Bruin, she wrote about policy, politics, law, education, and science. She won awards from MIT and Carnegie Mellon for her work in technology policy. Amy is passionate about improving American democracy through policy, reporting, and voter engagement. Before and during the 2024 general election season, she worked to encourage the youth to vote as a Voter Engagement Intern at the Institute for Youth in Policy. In her free time, Amy enjoys writing poetry and reading.
