Zongying Anna Du

Zongying Du is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan located in Ann Arbor. She is majoring in Political Science with also a goal of pursuing a minor in Data Science as she is heavily invested in policies (either domestic or international) that are oftentimes persuaded by factual statistics. Zongying, as you can infer from her name, is an immigrant herself who came to the U.S. with her family from China at the age of 10. After living in two extremely different nations in regards to their political structures, culture, and laws, she has refined her interests to the dissection of the anatomy of how these two countries are fundamentally different as their organs of government are arranged and how they are connected through veins of similarities. In addition, she has also acquired a fervent curiosity over the cultural-political interactions among East and Southeast Asian countries. Despite her passion for the global environment,  Zongying also strongly aims to dive into domestic fields such as criminal justice, property rights, etc, especially after three years of being on Mock Trial which has sparked the flames of her fascination for the judicial system.
