Lesley Zhang graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in May 2021 with a degree in Bachelor of Arts and Departmental Honors in Government. Lesley is currently in her first year of MA in Asian Studies at Elliott, George Washington University, concentrating on politics and policy in Asia as well as international development.
Lesley’s research focuses on social movements in East Asia, media reports on contentious politics, and the government’s censorship over protest. Her research interest lies in the politics of China, social movement, and political communication. Besides, she is also interested in international law and organizations, environment policy, and gender equality. In her free time, Lesley enjoys practicing Japanese and playing puzzles.
