Vero (she/her) is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and now resides in the Chicagoland area.
She is currently a second-year studying Environmental & Urban Studies and Public Policy at the
University of Chicago. There, she is a member of Phoenix Sustainability Initiative, a student-run
organization that promotes sustainable practices on campus, and the editorial board of
Expositions Magazine, the environmental department’s print publication. Vero is passionate
about conservation, waste reduction, and deforestation prevention, and hopes to educate both
herself and others during her time at ACE. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano,
drawing, thrifting, and learning new languages.
