Tasha Moorjani is a student at Santa Clara University studying music and political science with a pre-law emphasis. She has previously conducted research and prepared reports on current educational policy surrounding the teaching of history and civics, as well as how these policies can affect educational nonprofit organizations. After adding an economics minor, she became interested in the intersection of economics and politics, taking classes to learn about how policy can affect economic outcomes. One particular area of interest for her is historical housing discrimination, whose legacies have led to persistent economic inequality that needs to be addressed through policy solutions. To learn even more through conducting policy research on these topics, she joined ACE’s economic and housing policy research team. Outside of research, Tasha is passionate about music of all kinds, though her primary interest is in classical vocal music. She also is on the leadership board of her university’s mock trial team.
