Tanvi Chidambaram is originally from Houston, Texas, and is a rising junior at Brandeis University double majoring in Political Science and Sociology. She is particularly interested in studying the long-term effects of people of color and mass incarcerations as well as the intersection of gender roles and intimate partner violence in the South Asian community. This past year, Tanvi focused on working for immigration and environmental law firms to help people obtain safer living circumstances. She wrote extensive briefs and memorandums on US immigration and environmental policies and used her work to communicate effectively with USCIS. She ultimately desires to attend law school to pursue her interests in policy change. Outside of her policy work, Tanvi is the founder of a tutoring company, Skillpoint. She provides affordable tutoring services by college students to help ease the stress of costly education. In her free time, Tanvi is a foodie and likes to rank various restaurants around her.
