Tanisha Liang is currently a full-time student at Mount Holyoke College from Boston, Massachusetts and recently finished up her first year! With a double major in Politics and East Asian Studies, she plans on going down a pre-law track. Following the 2020 Black Lives Matter and Stop Asian Hate movements, Tanisha began to look for ways to support the causes and create meaningful change in her own community. Since then, she has worked with local government over the past three years to improve the education department and include more person of color authored literature that represents the community around her. Upon completion of this project, she was invited to research guest speakers for her high school that would demonstrate the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Outside of Tanisha’s activism work, she can often be found rock climbing with her sister. She also enjoys indulging in crafting projects with friends and cooking!
