S.J. Naim is a Junior at Boston College, majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Public Policy and Environmental Justice, and minoring in Leadership and Management. Her goal is to one day be an environmental consultant or environmental lawyer, helping to advise international companies to become more sustainable and to have a negligible carbon footprint. At Boston College, S.J. has worked with the Young Rapporteurs for the Environmental Geneva Convention, participating in peace talks internationally, specifically advocating for marginalized groups. She has also been a part of SeaEagles, the University’s only ocean conservation club. In addition, she has worked with Boston Medical Center and the Massachusetts State House to analyze data from medical research and implement it into policy and legislation at the state and federal level. Some of S.J.’s favorite pastimes are running, biking, kayaking, hiking with her dog, and reading.
