Sara Sajjad, Northeastern University

Sara Sajjad is a third-year undergraduate student at Northeastern University, majoring in political science and international affairs, with a minor in law and public policy on the pre-law track. Originally from New York City, Sara’s upbringing has deeply shaped her interest in how law and policy can be leveraged to build more inclusive, equitable, and representative institutions. She is particularly interested in the role of public policy in addressing systemic inequalities and strengthening democratic governance. Working as a legal co-op with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and engaging with grassroots activism with TurnUp Activism has reinforced her desire to pursue a career at the intersection of public service, law, and policy. At Northeastern, Sara is actively involved in a range of academic and extracurricular organizations, including Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Women in Pre-Law and Northeastern Votes. She is also an active writer for both the Huntington News and Northeastern Political Review. Outside of school, Sara enjoys exploring museums and coffee shops with her friends around Boston and New York.
