Sam Kleven is currently a junior at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Philosophy. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sam’s passion for politics was kindled through a mixture of vigorous reading, podcast-listening, and observing the many policy failures afflicting his home town. He has taken a strong liking to political theory, pragmatic political signaling, and the art of persuasion. His principal interest in housing emerged through his experience working for the Minneapolis Youth Congress in high school, as well as through volunteer work through Habitat for Humanity. Sam is also 2nd year captain of the ultimate frisbee team at Whitman, a sport which he hopes to continue playing for many years to come. In his treasured alone time, Sam loves reading, backpacking, listening to music, engaging in productive arguments, and taking long walks with his dog while listening to Ezra Klein.
