Rachel Zhang grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and is majoring in Economics at Boston College. She is specifically interested in the intersection between law, economics, and public policy. She hopes to understand the downstream effects of court decisions on both economic growth and future legislation in order to help citizens stay informed about key policy issues. Her research interests also include how domestic and international monetary policy affect the real economy, in particular disadvantaged individuals. At ACE, she intends to continue her research in economic policy to help voters easily access resources to learn about voting issues. She believes accessibility to and understanding information is a main driver of citizen engagement and is excited to join ACE. In her free time, she enjoys going on runs, listening to music, and traveling with friends.
