Paul Langlois is an undergraduate student at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. His majors are History and Political Science, with a focus on international relations. His academic strengths are in archival, qualitative and quantitative research, and using these methods to compile comprehensive analyses of current or historical subjects. He grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, and graduated high school at the International School of Kenya. Growing up, he was constantly exposed to the mechanics of US policy in the region, as both his parents worked with USAID while in the country. His interest in Sub-Saharan Africa is partly determined by having grown up there, as well as the centrality of US policy in his household. Before graduating high school, Paul worked at the Diplomatic Post Office in the US Embassy in Nairobi, interacting with diplomats and specialists from many different departments of the US government. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in public service.
