Nicholas Partan is a rising senior at the College of the Holy Cross, where he is studying
political science and Russian. He spent his junior year abroad at the University of York
in England, where he studied UK politics and researched the securitization of infectious
disease – a process whereby infectious diseases like COVID-19 are framed as
existential security threats that require the adoption of extraordinary measures. Nicholas
is passionate about providing American citizens with non-partisan information to make
well-informed decisions at the ballot box during election cycles, and most recently
worked for Alex Gray’s campaign for At-Large Boston City Council. He is an active
volunteer for Student Programs for Urban Development (SPUD) and Working For
Worcester and strives to realize Holy Cross’ mission of “Men and Women for others.”
Over the past three years, he has pursued this mission via hundreds of hours of
volunteer work and intends to continue serving others by making our country and our
communities stronger. During his free time, Nicholas is an avid hiker, angler and
backpacker.
