A Connecticut native, Nicholas graduated from George Washington University in 2019 with a double major in International Affairs and Spanish. He is interested in the role of public policy in achieving positive, lasting and equitable change during a time of environmental crisis.

Previously, he worked for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Congressman Raúl Grijalva (AZ-03), the Hudson Institute, where he developed an interest in public and environmental policy. At WWF, he worked with both the US Government Relations team and later the Oceans department, where he researched the role of import controls and traceability in preventing illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. Perpetually curious, he is an avid consumer of news, podcasts, and non-fiction.

Since the start of the pandemic, Nicholas has served as a contractor for the Montana and Virginia state unemployment agencies. In his free time, he enjoys running, traveling, cooking, and graphic design.
