Marina is a third-year student at the University of Virginia majoring in French and American Government and minoring in Data Analytics. She hopes to complete a Master’s degree in Public Policy after her undergraduate career. In the past, she has primarily worked on political campaigns – from Abigail Spanberger’s Congressional campaign in Virginia all the way to Dr. Al Gross’s U.S. Senate campaign in Alaska. Marina grew up bilingual in English and Spanish, and became interested in the immigration system when her dad started volunteering to help migrants leaving detention centers in her freshman year of high school. She is really excited for the opportunity to explore more about immigration policy with ACE. In her free time she likes to aggressively cheer for UVA’s basketball team, learn new languages, and play with her foster kittens.
