Erin is from Los Angeles, California and is a junior at Middlebury College. She is majoring in International and Global Studies with a double concentration in Global Security Studies and Chinese, and she is also minoring in Religion. Erin is not only passionate about creating diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus through her involvement in Middlebury’s Student Government Association, but she is also constantly finding new ways to make higher education more accessible for first-generation, low-income students through different organizations and initiatives. Apart from being an active member of various spheres at Middlebury, Erin uses a lot of time outside of class to learn more about the role of the United States in foreign diplomacy and how policies aid, or fail to aid, those in need; she is also interested in the topic of increasing access to affordable housing and the intersection between homelessness and disability. Erin hopes to use her passion for foreign policy and housing rights to pursue a career as a human rights lawyer. Lastly, during her free time, Erin loves to hike, cook Korean food, watch home renovation videos on YouTube, and teach her dog new tricks.
