My name is Erick Semindu, I am a twenty-seven years old Tanzanian youth male, and I am a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University Africa where I pursue a Master of Science in Information Technology concentrating in Cyber Security and taking a research track as a part of my graduate study.
Before joining CMU, I worked as a tutorial assistant teaching computer-related subjects at Mbeya Catholic University for two years where I fall in love with the art of learning and sharing knowledge. I am an enthusiast of research and I believe research is an important channel through which constructive ideas can be presented to society.
I am passionate about the use of ICT for the betterment of society, I advocate the inclusion of people with disability in the ICT sector from primary education to working environments.
In my free time, I love taking and editing pictures and videos, Learning new languages, and listening to music.
