Croix is an education and economics double major at Vassar College in New York. Croix’s interests include educational equity and policy. Croix became interested in education after taking “Education and Opportunity in the US” during his first semester at Vassar. After learning about how public schools in America lack equity across the nation, Croix took an interest. Croix’s specific interest is inner city schools and how they affect black and other minority students. Croix wrote a research paper titled ” The Gates to Higher Education: Who Has the Keys? Who Does Not?”, in which he explored how higher education is so inaccessible to black students due to inequities in American public schools. Croix is also interested in economics and how economics plays such a key role in the American school system. Outside of school, Croix loves to swim, read and go out to dinner with friends. Croix is also a member of the Vassar College swimming and diving team.
