Charlie Bluestein is originally from the Philadelphia suburbs in Bucks County, PA. He currently attends Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC where he will start his senior year in the Fall. Charlie majors in Politics and International Affairs, with a double minor in History and Global Trade & Commerce Studies. In his free time, Charlie blows off steam by cooking, playing volleyball, and watching Jeopardy. 

Charlie’s experience in politics began in the international development field when he conducted global project evaluation and outreach for a sustainable development NGO called Solar Household Energy (SHE). Currently, Charlie is interning at Sunwater Institute in North Bethesda, MD where he conducts research for the think tank’s Rights and Liberties Program. 

Charlie’s research as an ACE Summer Fellow will focus on foreign policy as it relates to Eurasia, with specific attention to the role of NATO and collective security in that region.
