Ashfah Alam (she/her) is a first-year student at Columbia University planning to major in Political Science and Human Rights. Alongside her position as a Student Research Fellow at ACE in the Human Rights and Equality division, she is also a writer for the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review, co-founder of an education equity-based community initiative, board member of two campus affinity groups, and campaign volunteer for a city-council member. Ashfah joined ACE because she is a lifelong learner, and hopes her passion for education, research, and writing can help others gain better access to critical, non-partisan information. She hopes to attend law school after graduation and continue her passion for research in the legal field.
