Ash Scarlett is a senior at Clark University in Worcester, MA. She is majoring in International Development & Social Change, with a specialization in Gender(ed) & Refugee Issues, and a minor in Economics. Ash has had a passion for helping others since she was young, and later discovered she can best serve others by using her voice to enact change. Ash’s interest in public policy is closely linked with her activism and advocacy work. As a queer identifying woman, Ash is especially drawn to issues involving the discrimination against and marginalization of LGBTQ+ individuals. Her background in IDSC has also fostered an interest in refugees & displaced persons. Ash is thrilled to have the opportunity to further her knowledge of public policy surrounding human rights issues and to help educate others.
