Anusha Mehta grew up in Dallas, TX and is now a freshman at the University of Chicago majoring in molecular engineering. She serves on her House Council as secretary and green czar, in addition to connecting with her heritage as a part of the South Asian Student Association’s membership committee. In her free time, she enjoys searching for the best hot chocolate in Chicago and writing short stories.
She joined the ACE team due to her passion for both healthcare and environmental policy. She became passionate about environmental policy after learning about the health impacts caused by the lack of transparency about what is contained in our products. In addition, her own experiences with chronic pain motivates her to campaign for affordable, accessible healthcare. She believes that greater community engagement is and will be essential to creating change.
