Allison Moskowitz is from New York and is currently a freshman at Tulane University planning to major in political economy with a concentration in law, economics, and policy. She co-leads the Relational and Actions Committee for the Tulane chapter of Sunrise Movement where she organizes phone banks and other actions for environmental causes. She became passionate about environmental justice because of her central passion for social justice and understanding the intersectionality of those two policy areas. Allison has also volunteered with a couple of political campaigns from Westchester County Legislator Kitley Covill’s reelection campaign to former US Congressman Eliot Engel’s reelection campaign. What she enjoyed most about working on the campaigns was working to increase voter turnout and awareness about policy issues as well as checking in on constituents, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Educating voters and increasing engagement is also why Allison is excited to be a Student Fellow for ACE. And besides her three biggest loves – politics, democracy, and justice – she loves to travel, dance, and play with her dogs.
