Alexandra Gamble is a current graduate student at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California pursuing a double master’s in International Policy & Development and International Trade & Economic Diplomacy, with a specialization in Evaluation and Analytics. Her passion for economics in general, and development more specifically, was first sparked during an internship placement with the City of Cape Town in South Africa, while she was an undergraduate student at Northeastern University. While with the City of Cape Town, she gained exposure to policy research and development as well as stakeholder and community engagement.

Alexandra briefly flirted with the idea of becoming a lawyer, including working for some time as a legal assistant at an immigration law firm in Boston before returning her focus to the world of economics and development and serving as a Community Economic Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Ancash, Perú. Since returning, she has narrowed her focus to research and analytics within economics and development practice. Outside her professional life, Alexandra enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, mountain biking, reading, and listening to podcasts.
