Maggie is an incoming Master of Arts candidate in Security Studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where she will begin her graduate studies in Fall 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in International Studies from Rhodes College, graduating summa cum laude.
Professionally, Maggie has served as a Tech Policy Fellow at the Alliance for Citizen Engagement for a year, authoring nonpartisan policy briefs on topics spanning cybersecurity legislation, AI governance, AI liability frameworks, and international agreements. Her research on polarization and technocratic framing in U.S. cybersecurity legislation was presented at the Pi Sigma Alpha national political science honors society conference. She holds an ISC2 Cybersecurity Certification and has gained experience through internships at the Ronald Reagan Institute, Congressman Steve Cohen’s office, and the Shelby County Public Defender’s office.
Maggie’s policy focus centers on national security, technology governance, and the intersection of emerging technologies with U.S. foreign policy. She is particularly interested in cybersecurity, AI regulation, and great power competition. Outside of her professional work, Maggie is passionate about civic education and has organized voter registration initiatives at local high schools. She also enjoys exercising and reading.
