Ellen Lyoo is a rising senior majoring in economics and international studies at Yonsei University, South Korea and is currently doing her study abroad program at the University of Chicago. Her experience in Model United Nations sparked her interest in global affairs. She has written papers and reports on various international issues and organizations, such as but not limited to the role of international organizations in a political perspective and the effectiveness of international organizations in creating and enforcing global policies. Ellen’s main interests lie on international legal frameworks on human rights, trade, and the environment and hopes to go to law school after finishing her undergraduate education to pursue a career in law.
