Isabella Gonzales

Isabella Gonzales, University of California Davis

Isabella is a recent graduate of UC Davis, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Statistics with a minor in Sustainability in the Built Environment. She has built an interdisciplinary foundation within the intersection of quantitative analysis and community-centered policy work. Recently, Isabella has contributed to research at the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies, where she studied commuter rail ridership and transit access. She also contributed to climate adaptation planning research with the Sacramento City Planning Department, translating international case studies on urban heat island mitigation into locally applicable policy recommendations. Through her work as a researcher at the UC Davis Innovation Research Lab, she led research projects aimed at identifying policy gaps within the student government’s purview. She purposefully built her academic and professional background around developing the analytical and policy skills required to contribute to community-centered sustainability efforts. Outside of work she enjoys attending live music events, making ceramics, and being in the sun.
