Brittiny is a third-year college student who wants to work in public health and has a strong interest in public health law and health policy. She is passionate about addressing social determinants of health and enhancing systems that affect marginalized populations as a first-generation student. Her academic background includes work with the New York City Department of Health on food sanitation programs, housing and transit policy, and healthcare equity and access efforts. Brittiny worked on her leadership and organizing abilities through community service and university involvement in addition to her academic pursuits. She currently assists in organizing outreach, programming, and communication as the secretary of a student organization as well as targeting civil rights and social action as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her interest in accessible resources and preventive public health initiatives was further stoked by her volunteer work at a community services center in Buffalo. Brittiny likes to dance/ step, cook and hang out with friends while she’s not at school.
