Sabiha is currently a senior at University at Buffalo. Her major is Communications with a minor in Political Science. Her experiences working with her professors and learning about how polarization in politics impact the American government, sparked her interest in researching Democratic Governance. Her school research on why citizens are not engaging with their local governments and how misinformation in media can affect this inspired her to join The Alliance for Citizen Engagement. The message and work of this organization resonated with her and gave her an opportunity to help mitigate the issue of misinformation and disengagement. ACE works rigorously to create unbiased and nonpartisan briefs to better inform readers about different policies and makes them accessible with clear and concise language. When Sabiha is not at school or working with ACE, she enjoys spending her time traveling and being with her family and friends. Her other hobbies include journaling and reading.
