Stella Etcheverry is a student at University of California, Santa Barbara pursuing a degree in Political Science with minors in Poverty, Inequality and Social Justice and Professional Writing with a focus in Civic Engagement. As a Division I student athlete on the UCSB women’s soccer team, she has developed strong skills in leadership, discipline, time management, and collaboration while balancing the demands of academics and athletics. Her academic interests center on public policy, international relations, legal analysis, and social justice, particularly in areas related to foreign policy, public health, and institutional inequality.
Professionally, Stella has gained experience through internships and academic leadership roles in government, policy, and legal writing. She has worked in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Congressional Intern for Representative Chuck Fleischmann, where she assisted with constituent services, legislative research, and daily office operations. Stella is also a writer for the UCSB Undergraduate Law Journal Quarterly Newsletter, where she contributes research and analysis on legal and policy issues. In addition, she serves as a Public Health Policy Fellow with the Alliance for Citizen Engagement.
