Oluyemisi Bolarin is a rising junior at UT Austin, double majoring in Health & Society and Humanities Honors with a concentration in Race, Reproduction, and Health Policy. Her work centers on confronting systemic inequities in healthcare, especially those impacting Black maternal health, a mission shaped by personal experience and a deep commitment to justice.  On campus, she serves as Treasurer for On the Moov, a disability advocacy organization, and volunteers as a deputy registrar and youth STEM organizer. She was awarded second place in the UT Law Bech-Laughlin First Amendment Essay Contest for writing that explored protest and public voice. In her free time, she reads widely and writes across genres, from poetry to public health commentary. She hopes to become a physician who combines clinical care with health policy reform to build a more just and compassionate healthcare system.
