Mahabuba Masud, Barnard College

Mahabuba Masud is an undergraduate student at Barnard College of Columbia University. She is studying Urban Studies with a concentration in Public Health. She is passionate about developing equitable healthcare policies to serve vulnerable communities. On campus, she is an admissions representative and a peer mentor to incoming first-generation and low-income college students. She is also the recipient of the Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service. She has previously worked for the Office of Senator Gillibrand on various health policy projects and provided constituent services to the people of New York. At ACE, she hopes to use her public health research skills to educate young voters about vital healthcare legislation and news. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in public service at the intersection of public health and advocacy. Outside of work, Mahabuba enjoys spending time with her family and friends and exploring museums in New York City.
