Hope Minor, University of Washington

Hope is a first-year graduate student at the University of Washington pursuing a Master of Public Health in Global Health. During her time as a student at the University of Iowa, Hope participated in multiple volunteer projects related to local food systems, specifically with a food pantry in Coralville, Iowa, and through a service position with AmeriCorps in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Hope also worked on improving sexual misconduct policies at the University of Iowa through her former position as the co-chair of the Student Advisory Committee on Sexual Misconduct (SACSM). Through her current studies at the University of Washington, Hope is looking to pursue her interest in the overlap of climate change, global health, and health policy. Hope’s interest in improving public health policy has grown from these experiences. They inspired her to pursue a future career in public health policy.
