Owen is a second year Master of Public Policy Student. His interest in immigration policy stems from his family connections; his maternal grandmother, great-aunt, and great-grandmother are Egyptian Immigrants, while his father's side consists of Sicilian Immigrants who entered through Ellis Island. Owen therefore views immigration through historical and logistics lenses rather than a national security standpoint, and is intrigued to explore agency funding shortfalls and connections between immigration inflows and America's foreign policy legacy in Latin America. Having previously received an Associates of Arts at County College of Morris and a Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers New-Brunswick, he commenced his graduate education at Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. After receiving Summa Cum Laude Honors in 2025, he also expanded his work experience in the film business with policy and electoral-centered opportunities. During the 2026 spring semester, Owen notably worked as an intern on Congressional Candidate Adam Hamawy's NJ Congressional District 12 Campaign while simultaneously operating as an assistant grader at Rutgers New-Brunswick and an Intern for the National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP).
