Simone Noorali, University of Pennsylvania

Simone Noorali is a rising senior at the University of Pennsylvania on the pre-law track, studying Political Science and Health & Societies, with a focus on law, policy, and economics. A result of her international background and upbringing, Simone is passionate about the intersection between international relations and international law, and is constantly learning how this unfolds across various domains of activity. Her research, both independent and guided, have focused on policy areas such as conflict, human rights, human trafficking, and women and children’s rights. Simone has led an independent research project on the exploitation of women and children in India’s commercial sex industry, and is currently on the Borders and Boundaries research team studying human trafficking incidence across borders. In addition to her academic interests, she enjoys traveling, looking for new restaurants, and the arts – especially dancing.
