Sahara is a senior at the University of Massachusetts pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations, and plans to earn a master’s degree in Comparative Politics. She also holds an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. She became inspired to learn about the political and diplomatic affairs of the Middle East by her father, a journalist who has covered stories in the region. In college, she has taken classes in Middle Eastern politics which have served to further inspire her to pursue advanced studies in this area. In her free time, Sahara enjoys traveling the world, swimming and playing soccer.
