Kimery Lynch has a BA in East Asian Studies with a minor in Government from the University of Virginia, and recently graduated with her MA in Asian Studies (Korea focus) from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. She received the Critical Language Scholarship in Korean from the Department of State in 2021, and studied abroad for a summer in Seoul, South Korea in 2018. Before ACE, Kimery worked as an interpreter services intern for the International Rescue Committee and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Asian Studies department at UH-Manoa, where she helped organize a professional Asian Studies academic conference.

Kimery has extensive experience in researching Asia, particularly Korea and China. Her current research interest focuses on digital technologies and social media usage in Asia. She has published a peer-reviewed study for the journal New Media & Society, as well as a forthcoming publication in the R3 Journal. Outside of academic/professional pursuits, Kimery enjoys K-pop and walking her Shiba Inu, Kami.
