Julien Rentsch, Northwestern University

Julien Rentsch is a rising junior at Northwestern University studying political science, international studies, and music. He has worked at Northwestern’s Institute for Policy Research, and he founded the Northwestern chapter of the University Blood Initiative. Next academic year, he will work as a research assistant under a political science professor, conducting research on Syrian refugees and their perceptions of home. Julien is interested in a career in either foreign policy or with an international organization, ideally working on humanitarian issues. He has always had an interest in international affairs, stemming back to high school when he created documentaries on World War II and Cold War topics for National History Day. Some of Julien’s hobbies include writing orchestral music, playing piano, and playing soccer. He is very excited to work with ACE as a summer fellow studying foreign policy as part of the Middle East and North Africa team.
