Abbey Dinsdale

Abbey Dinsdale is a recent graduate from Michigan State University with a BA in Global and International Studies and minors in both Japanese and Youth and Society. In 2016, she studied Korean in Seoul, South Korea with the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program for a period of 6 weeks. In 2019, she spent a study abroad semester at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan at their School of International Liberal Studies. 
Her research has focused on various issues pertaining to South Korea and Japan, such as the Japan-South Korea Trade Dispute of 2019, and Japanese literature focused on minority groups, such as Zainichi Koreans and the LGBT community. In addition, she has also dedicated a period of study to the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.
