William Vaccaro, Williams College

William (Will) Vaccaro is a current Junior studying History at Williams College (though is spending the year studying International History and International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science). His studies concentrate on regional histories of conflict areas to understand the historical contexts underpinning the most pressing issues facing the world today. At the LSE, he writes for BlueBird, the school’s leading foreign policy blog and serves as a trip leader for the Outdoors and Hiking Society.

In each election (and especially in the upcoming 2024 election) every vote counts and every vote matters. Researching and informing voters on barriers to casting their votes– from voter ID laws to registration challenges– are essential steps in combatting disenfranchisement. With this in mind, Will plans to use his ACE fellowship to research voter disenfranchisement and inform youth voters on their barriers to accessing voting booths.

In his free time, Will enjoys playing music, hiking in the White mountains, and traveling.
