Michael is a rising Sophomore at Drake University, in Des Moines IA. At Drake, Michael studies Politics, Strategic Political Communication and Public Relations with a Concentration in Social Justice in Urban Education. Michael just got done serving as a Senate Secretary under State Senator Cindy Winckler, and was previously the Student Member on the Iowa State Board of Education. In addition to both of these roles, Michael continues to serve on his local school district’s School Improvement Advisory Committee. In all of these roles, Michael has overseen the process of policy writing, refining and implementation. Outside of policy work, Michael writes for the Drake Political Review, and is involved in various campus organizations such as Theta Chi – Gamma Tau, Men’s Club Volleyball, DU Student Senate, Adams Leadership Institute and Delta Theta Phi Pre-Law Fraternity. Michael is an avid lover of all music, and you can catch him at any local concert or festival!
