Divya Ranganathan, University of Richmond

Divya Ranganathan is a student at the University of Richmond studying Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law (PPEL), originally from Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. From a young age, she had a keen interest in policy, which she explored at first on the Mountain Lakes High School Speech and Debate team and continued on the University of Richmond’s Speech and Debate team. Divya’s passion for policy and education expansion is especially rooted in her belief that education is a community effort. She takes pride in her community involvement through her town’s local Economic Development Advisory Committee that sought to build up small business and provide modern and functional housing. In her time at ACE, Divya is excited to develop hands-on skills regarding policy research and writing as well as explore topical and pressing issues in today’s education policy climate. In her free time, Divya likes to read, watch movies, spend time with friends and family, and explore different coffee shops, book stores, and antique shops.
