Kylie is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in political science. Alongside her political science studies, she pursued a secondary major in economics, and her coursework fell on the pre-law academic track. Throughout her academic and young professional years, Kylie has developed extensive experience in customer service, research, and communications. Her professional background includes hospitality roles, as well as internship experience in public relations and historical research. At the Southern Studies Research Institute’s S.H.A.R.E. Project, she worked with historical probate records and was responsible for data organization, transcription, and research for historical documentation. Kylie is actively involved in advocacy and community engagement through her volunteer work with Sandy Hook Promise, where she supports awareness initiatives on mental health and public safety. As well as a volunteer for Michelle Embree Ku’s campaign for state house candidacy for the 106th District in Connecticut, tasked with reaching out to local fundraisers and organizations and boosting voter involvement. Kylie aspires to attend law school and pursue a career in the policy sector, focusing on advocacy and justice reform.
Outside of her studies and work, Kylie enjoys spending time with friends and family by shopping, traveling, hiking, or trying out new activities. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, baking, and Pilates.
