ACE Climate Migration Conference 2022

About

This spring, ACE hosted the first youth-led climate migration conference in the world. Each day focused on a different geographic region: Central and Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The goal of the conference is was bring together youth from around the world, along with academics and activists, to raise awareness and engagement around the important issue of climate migration. While climate migration is a relatively under-discussed aspect of climate adaptation, it is predicted that tens of millions of people around the world will be displaced internally and across national borders in the coming decades. Each day of the conference featured ACE Student Fellows presenting their research on an aspect of climate migration, as well as interviews and discussions with key actors in the field.
