Experience

No previous elected offices held. For almost thirty years Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been a champion for environmental activism, although he is better known as the nephew of 35th President John F. Kennedy and son of senator Robert F. Kennedy Sr.

Donors

A majority of the campaign financing is coming from individual donors, but appears to be coming through the group American Values 2024. American Values 2024 is a hybrid/super PAC, who’s mission is to “build a movement of supporters seeking truth, separating from corporation interests, and supporting candidates for a brighter future.”

Top 3 Issues

Robert F. Kennedy has a 14 point plan to improve how the average American experiences the economy. He proposes ending “the military adventures and regime-change wars” and “the corruption in Washington” to pay for his proposals. Key points of his 14-point plan include cutting drug prices, raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, allowing the inclusion of student debt in bankruptcy, and expanding free childcare.

RFK would like to make homeownership more attainable for the working family. He proposes  3% tax free government backed mortgage bonds in order to reduce mortgage rates, bring vacant lots and building which have been seized by local governments back onto the market, changes to zoning law to drive up supply of housing, and changes to the tax code which would disincentivize corporations from buying up single-family homes.

RFK promises to continue his fight for the environment by encouraging regenerative practices through agricultural subsidies, reduce toxic waste, industrial poisons, and pesticides, protect wild lands, and bolster the USDA and EPA.
