Ava Caudle is a born-and-raised Floridian who drinks too much tea and watches too much C-Span. Her love of advocacy led her to participate in her high school debate and activism organization, Junior State of America. While she had pursued public speaking since her elementary school years, it was learning to debate that truly caused Ava to grow her skills while learning to appreciate opposing viewpoints. Her speaking awards and service initiatives with JSA paired with outside work alongside political figures and organizations expanded her political interests, and her background living in Florida’s diverse array of Hispanic cultures cultivated her further engagement with the Spanish language. The two facets combined when Ava grew invested in the sociopolitical climates of numerous Spanish-speaking countries, and she is delighted to continue her research in a more official capacity with ACE.
