Student Fellow

Ixy Xu, Haverford College

Ivy is a recent graduate from Haverford College, where she earned a dual degree in Political Science and Mathematics. Her academic experience focused on policy studies and quantitative social science methods, which gave her a solid background for evidence-based policy analysis. In Fall 2025, Ivy will begin a graduate program in business and data analytics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she hopes to continue developing her skills in data science and explore its potential to enhance policymaking and empower public good-serving organizations, including non-profits and mission-driven companies. At Haverford, Ivy served as an editor of the Tri-Co Law Review, where she collaborated with peers to review and edit pieces submitted by college students on topics ranging from constitutional law to social policy. Through this process, she developed her editorial skills and further deepened her understanding of issues at the nexus of law and government. As Ivy enters the field of data and technology at MIT, she remains deeply interested in the intersection of data science and technology policy. Ivy joined ACE with the passion to write accessible pieces that bridge complex technology policy issues with public understanding and nonpartisan conversation. In her free time, Ivy enjoys traveling, doing pilates, spending time with friends, and exploring new restaurants in the city.
